Q// CAN I USE ALL THE SETS WHEN I HIRE THE STUDIO or COME FOR A PHOTOSHOOT?
A// Yes! All our sets are in the one studio, so are available to be used in the one session. You can check out the floorpan here.
If you are not using our white Santorini set, please do not walk on it as it marks easily and so is routinely painted.
Q// WHO IS YOUR IN HOUSE PHOTOGRAPHER?
A// Emma Salmon AKA The Black Light or AKA Sammé. Emma is the creator of No Vacancy, and is available to book a shoot with at the studio here. Check out her work here
Q// IS THE STUDIO PRIVATE/DO I HAVE THE ENTIRE STUDIO TO MYSELF FOR THE DURATION OF MY HIRE?
A// Yes. The studio is totally private with privacy curtains on entry too. Each hire is exclusive, so no one else will be renting the space whilst you are there.
The studio owner will sometimes be present for your hire to let you in and also film content for socials (but will be out the way!) and is available to help with anything you need or your shoot BTS photos!
Q// DO I NEED LIGHTS AT THE STUDIO?
A// We have plenty of natural light at the studio however we definitely recommend using lights in some areas of the studio to get a punchier, crisper looking photo.
We also provide 3x Godox continuous 200W lights free of charge.
Q// WHAT IS THE NATURAL LIGHT LIKE AT THE STUDIO?
A// The natural light is stronger in our Morocco, Santorini and pool end of Zen Bathhouse sets and adequate for photos without lights but as above, we still like to see photos using lights as well as we feel it makes the sets look brighter.
Q// WHAT TIME OF DAY IS BEST FOR NATURAL LIGHT?
A// The natural light is strongest in the afternoons after 2pm when (on a clear, sunny day) you get beautiful strong direct sunlight with window shadows on the Santorini set.
The morning before 10am, also has a softer strong natural light, compared to between 11am-1pm.
Q// ARE THERE LIGHTS AVAILABLE FOR USE AT THE STUDIO?
A// Yes. We provide a ring light and 3x Godox continuous 200W lights, free of charge, for every studio hire.
Q// ARE PAPER BACKDROPS AND STANDS INCLUDED?
A// Yes. We have a large variety of paper roll backdrops which are included in your hire (including stands). Colours include, but are not limited to: black, white, yellow, pink, red, orange, purple, beige, blue, dark blue, brown, and more
Q// CAN I MOVE ANY OF THE FURNITURE & PROPS IN THE STUDIO?
A// Absolutely, but we ask to please LIFT any furniture and DO NOT DRAG as some of them leave marks on the floor. Please return everything to original place before departing.
Q// CAN HEELS BE WORN ON THE SETS?
A// In the Bathhouse set, we request no heels or black soled shoes to be worn as it marks. Heels/shoes can be worn in any of the other sets.

Q// DO YOU HAVE A SPACE FOR HAIR & MAKEUP?
A// Yes. We have two tables, a ring light, mirrors, and adjustable stools.
Q// DO YOU HAVE A PRIVATE BATHROOM?
A// Yes. We have a private bathroom with hand dryer and an essential supplies box.
Q// CAN I DRIVE UP TO THE STUDIO TO LOAD IN/OUT?
A// Yes. No Vacancy is on the ground level, with drive-up access for load in/load out.
Q// WHERE CAN I PARK?
A// No Vacancy is located within Precinct 75, which has free guest parking onsite. Please do not park in any reserved spots; there is plenty of visitor parking available.
Q// DO YOU HAVE COOKING FACILITIES?
A// No. Our kitchen does not have cooking facilities. We have a microwave, dishwasher, fridge and sink for use, as well as some cutlery and crockery.
Q// ARE THERE ANY CAFES NEARBY?
A// Yes. There are cafes and food nearby and within Precinct 75. Rice Pantry is right next door, and Sample Coffee (the closest coffee shop) is outside the Precinct, on Mary Street.
STUDIO RULES
Please respect our studio rules below. Thank you! :)
If any part of the studio requires cleaning and/or repainting
after your hire due to the below, you will be charged a $200 fee taken off your security deposit.
NO OILS
We have a strict NO OILS policy. Please do not use any body oils of any type.
NO POWDERS/GLITTERS/CONFETTI
Please do not shoot with any powders/glitters/confetti.
NO SMOKING
Strictly no smoking inside the studio. If you wish to smoke, please go outside and dispose of butts responsibly.
NO PETS
Sorry but we do not allow pets due to hygiene and allergies. Service dogs are welcome.
CLEANING UP BEFORE LEAVING
Please return all furniture and props back to where you found them and throw all rubbish away and tidy the studio.
Your hire fee includes regular cleaning and maintenance, NOT cleaning up mess and moving equipment or furniture back.
